Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Flits, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The Service

Flits is a mobile app that uses AI to extract event details from photos and screenshots and saves them to your native calendar.

3. Free and Premium Tiers

Free tier:

• 10 AI photo scans per month
• Scan count resets on the 1st of each month
• Manual scan (camera or photo library)
• Event confirmation and calendar saving
• Scan history

Premium tier (includes everything in free, plus):

• Unlimited AI photo scans
• Smart Scan — automatically detects and processes new screenshots while Flits is open on Android; activates when you open the app on iOS
• Travel Time alerts — leave-by notifications based on your home address and event location
• Billed monthly ($2.99/month) or annually ($24.99/year)
• Managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Cancel anytime through your App Store / Play Store subscription settings

Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google per their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

4. Scan Count Policy

Your monthly scan count tracks the number of AI extraction requests made. Deleting scan history entries does not reduce your scan count. The count resets automatically on the 1st of each month regardless of how many scans remain unused.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Flits to scan photos you do not have the right to process
• Attempt to circumvent the free tier scan limit
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws

6. Accuracy of AI Extraction

Flits uses AI to extract event details from photos. The AI may make mistakes, especially with:

• Handwritten text
• Low-quality or blurry images
• Ambiguous or relative dates ("next Saturday", "tomorrow")
• Mixed language or regional date formats

Always review extracted details on the Confirm screen before saving. Flits is not responsible for missed events, incorrect dates, or other consequences of inaccurate AI extraction.

7. Calendar Integration

Flits writes events to your device's native calendar with your explicit confirmation. You are responsible for verifying event details before confirming. Flits is not responsible for incorrect calendar entries resulting from inaccurate AI extraction or user error.

8. Intellectual Property

The Flits app, including its design, code, and content, is owned by the Flits team and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Flits is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI extraction will always be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Flits shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or missed events.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or App Store / Play Store update notes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Philippines.
